Some behind the scenes pictures from the infamous Serious Auto/Miata Magazine Photo Shoot

In October of '98,  Miata Magazine asked us to see if we could get seven different cool looking Miatas together for a photo shoot. I posted the request to the local list server and was deluged with 54 responses! All of the pictures were shot in and around Santa Cruz, CA by Miata Magazine's world famous photographer, Henry Rasmussen. Since so many of you have called about the pictures in Issue 99-I. I thought I'd share the few other shots I took with my digital camera while Henry was working.

These were shot at Watsonville Airport I hoped this would be the cover!

One of the ways Henry gets those great angles.

One of the documented times the top is actually UP. What, no Windstop?

Traffic on a busy street is no match for Henry! A classic shot. A simple stand of dried golden grass frames the background for this Montego Blue.
